The first airing of this great new show was broadcast on Sunday July 30th and will air every Sunday from 10pm on Liverpool Live Radio.
“In My Shoes” is not your typical radio show; it’s a transformative experience designed to promote empathy, understanding, and inclusivity. Each episode will take listeners on a compelling journey into the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Through authentic and personal interviews, the show aims to bridge the gaps between different communities, fostering a greater sense of unity among our listeners.
The co-hosts, Nat & Paul are seasoned storytellers, known for their ability to delve into the heart of people’s experiences, making the show a truly moving and enlightening experience. “In My Shoes” will cover a wide array of topics, from personal triumphs and challenges to cultural heritage and social issues. By sharing real-life stories, the show intends to break down stereotypes, challenge prejudices, and open up honest conversations about the human experience.
The first broadcast of the show was timed to air during Liverpool’s Pride Celebrations, and Nat & Paul discussed the topic of The Art of Painting on a Smile with Tom Barrie, a trained actor, event host, Drag Queen, Drag wedding celebrant and someone who is living with the impacts of a life changing health diagnosis.
“As a society, it is essential that we strive to understand and connect with one another on a deeper level and Liverpool Live Radio provides us with the perfect platform to do this” said Nat. Co-host Paul adds, “Through this radio show, we aim to create a safe and welcoming space for people to share their stories, learn from one another, and cultivate empathy, ultimately leading to a more compassionate and united community.”
